Short version: the tools run on your device, we don't use analytics or ad trackers, and the only personal data we hold is your email address if you choose to join the newsletter.

The tools

The log generator and calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to our server. To save you retyping, each tool remembers your last inputs in your browser's local storage on your device. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings. To let the tools work offline, your browser also keeps a cached copy of the pages (a "service worker" cache).

The newsletter (optional)

If you subscribe we store your email address, the page you signed up on, and the time and status of your subscription (pending, confirmed or unsubscribed). We use it only to send the newsletter you asked for. We send one email to confirm your address first, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

The newsletter is sent through an email service provider that processes your address on our behalf.

Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR): your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

Cookies and analytics

We don't set cookies, and we don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or session recording. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, browser, time) for security and troubleshooting. They are deleted after a short period.

Affiliate links

Some pages may in future contain affiliate links. If you click one, the retailer may set its own cookies to credit the referral. Their privacy policy then applies. See the affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you (in practice, your email address) by emailing hello@liftjourney.com. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
